The table plate is constructed either from solid oak or from desktop linoleum—a natural, warm, smooth, and antibacterial material—affixed to a beech plywood base. For the solid oak variation, steel stiffeners are incorporated at the plate's bottom side, mitigating minor dimensional changes in the wood due to hygroscopy.Legs
